Good news for the entrepreneurial community in Oleiros: Arenaza Manor (Pazo de Arenaza), already a key coworking hub in the province of A Coruña, is set to expand once again due to the growing demand for shared workspaces. The project highlights the increasing relevance of collaborative environments in smaller municipalities, where innovation ecosystems are becoming essential for attracting talent and new business initiatives.
The Oleiros City Council has secured a commitment from the Provincial Council to invest €256,000 in restoring the courtyard and rehabilitating the unused stables. This renovation will create new workstations, multipurpose rooms, and support areas, enabling more startups, freelancers and creative professionals to join the space. The improvements aim not only to increase capacity but also to enhance the overall user experience by offering more adaptable environments suitable for digital, technological and creative industries.
The project will be defined through an architectural ideas competition, organized with the Official College of Architects of Galicia, ensuring a design that respects the building’s historic character while meeting modern coworking needs. This initiative fits into a broader regional effort to repurpose heritage buildings as innovation drivers. By expanding its facilities, Arenaza Manor strengthens its role as a collaborative hub, fosters meaningful connections between entrepreneurs, and contributes to preserving the cultural identity of Oleiros for future generations.
