The coworking movement in Alicante is taking a major step forward with the expansion of El Teixidor<\/strong>, a pioneering coworking space in the Valencian Community. Originally launched in 2017 as part of the PetrerEmprende<\/strong> initiative, El Teixidor has provided socially committed entrepreneurs with a space to develop their projects and collaborate with local organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, in 2025<\/strong>, the municipality has announced a major change: El Teixidor will be open to all entrepreneurs with a business idea<\/strong>, regardless of their participation in the PetrerEmprende program. This initiative aims to expand access to flexible workspaces<\/strong> and further support local talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Open Door for Entrepreneurs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At a press conference held at El Teixidor\u2019s<\/strong> facilities, Esther Navarro and Carlos Verd\u00fa<\/strong> from Genion Lab<\/strong>, alongside Economic Development Councillor David Morcillo<\/strong>, shared details about the expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“El Teixidor was created to extend support beyond the PetrerEmprende program, offering entrepreneurs a space to develop their ideas,”<\/em> explained Navarro<\/strong>. Since its launch, nearly 50 entrepreneurs<\/strong> have benefited from the program, and over 20 local and regional associations<\/strong> have collaborated to create a network of social impact entrepreneurship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Councillor David Morcillo<\/strong> emphasized the need to adapt the coworking model<\/strong> to meet the growing demand for flexible workspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Until now, access was limited to PetrerEmprende participants, but by opening it up, we\u2019re allowing more entrepreneurs to benefit from this space, completely free of charge,”<\/em> he stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

How to Apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Starting Thursday, February 20<\/strong>, entrepreneurs can apply for a free spot<\/strong> via the PetrerEmprende<\/strong> website (https:\/\/petreremprende.es\/<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
